As a librarian, I was always up on the latest in fiction and non-fiction. Even if I had not read the book, I had normally seen it, glanced through it, and had heard enough about it from others to “fake” a conversation. Unfortunately, I am not there on a daily basis anymore, so have lost that connection with new releases.

So, I am opening up this particular posting under “books” for anyone and everyone to send me ideas for book reviews. Have you seen a book you want to buy, but don’t know if it is worth the money? Is it entertaining or a real drag?

Send me author and title and I will either do research on the book and let you know what others are saying about it, or I will personally go and read the book and give you my own opinion of whether it is worth your time and hard earned cash.

I am doing this for several reasons:

    1. I want to provide a service here on ArsCompendium that gets people interested in books!

    2. I want to personally get back in touch with the current book trends.

    3. It will give me an excuse to make time to read! :-)

Hope in the next few days I see a title pop up at either my email or in the comments area here. Fiction would get a quicker review, I’m sure, as I can read that faster than non-fiction.
