South Beach, Florida
This beach won the Travel Channels Best Beautiful People Beach award in 2004. The nightlife is very trendy and the day life won’t leave you bored, either. Between the shopping, touring, boating and tanning, you can stay as busy as you’d like all day long. Don’t forget to take a nap if you’re going to hit the streets at night for dancing and people watching, though.
Maroma Beach, Mexican Caribbean
Looking for a romantic spot for just the two of you? Book your stay in Maroma Beach in the Mexican Caribbean. The slow jungle rhythms and lush greenery is perfect for a quiet weekend away. Maroma Beach is an oasis protected by the world’s largest barrier reef so the waves will be gentle and serene. Leave your surfboard at home but don’t forget a book.
Poipu Beach, Hawaii

Looking for a little pirate booty on your beach trip this summer? Head to Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. Legend has it, Blackbeard once roamed its 16 miles of sun-swept wilderness beaches. Bird watching is very popular on this island as many migrating birds fly overhead as they head east.
No matter which beach you choose, make sure you’re well prepared. Pack your sunscreen and lip balm with sun protection. Sunglasses are great and a barrier like an umbrella is good to have along as well. Chairs and blankets may be provided at private beaches but bring your own if you are heading to a public location. Don’t forget sand toys for the kids and finally, bring lots of bottled water and snacks, as being in the sun will zap your energy and dehydrate you very quickly.
