Life in Canada can be so quirky. We have things that other countries don’t have, like toques for example. (See post, What is a toque?) Life in Canada is just different. I was born and raised in southern Alberta, and while I have visited other corners of this continent, I’m quite content to stay right here. The majority of non-Canadians that I’ve met have said, almost immediately after finding out I’m from Canada is “So, you’re Canadian, eh?”, with a big emphasis on the ‘eh’.  Yes, I am Canadian, so what about it, eh? Yes, eh is a staple of Canadian speech…we all say it. It’s the equivalent to American ‘huh’, although we use ‘huh’ too…
