What makes this scam interesting is the fact that the scammer is including a supposedly real story on the bbc site. I guess that is supposed to lend legitimacy to this request for help. But as always, the scammer’s do themselves in with the same old request for help.
And why am I a “good friend”? Do I know you? Did we used to hang out in college together? I think not!

Wow, I just got this one today. I googled Mrs.Vivian Salem and this site popped up. I am sending her a reply though not exactly the kind she (he) really was hoping for. Needless to say I won’t be very politically correct in my reply. That’s what they get for trying to scam people though.
I just got the same email from her/him too on my yahoo. I replied her/him to not to wish as The Master Wish is everywhere and he will answer the wish. Hey you remember Wish Master movie, don’t you?
I also received your e-maill and for a second thought to be rich, but then I realized that was false
