About This Editor: I am a writer. Have been writing for other sites, but expect to do most of my future work HERE! My expertise extends from the esoteric such as burning hydrogen to the unpredictability of the stock market and my writing makes me a jack of all trades and exasperated master of none. I have had some influence over national wildfire and water policy and there are hints of a change in energy policy, BUT as Samuel Goldwyn once said, "A verbal promise is not worth the paper it is written on."

Puritan’s Pride is another well known brand name seller of vitamins, minerals and herbs. It sells its offerings through a mail order catalog, through its web site and over the phone.

It uses an introductory 89-cent sale inserted into the Sunday newspaper coupon offerings every so often to introduce purchasers to its products. The sale usually offers, Co Q-10, billed as good for cardiovascular support and possibly memory, ginkgo biloba, also billed as good for memory and circulation support, selenium, an antioxidant, vitamin B-12, for the nervous system, vitamin C-500, listed as an antioxidant, vitamin E-400, billed for exceptional heart health properties, garlic said to support heart and cardiovascular health, saw palmetto, for prostate health, lutein to support healthy eyes, flaxseed oil, known to control bad cholesterol, glucosamine sulfate, claimed to nourish joints and renew cartilage, calcium for healthy bones, cinnamon, recommended for sugar metabolism, Puritan’s Pride Complete One, a multi-vitamin supplement and Retinol Cream, recommended for smoother and softer skin.

In order to be eligible for this introductory offer, you have to a minimum of six items with a maximum of two for any specific supplement. Shipping is $3.95 and the order usually arrives within a week to ten business days.

Should none of the newspaper insert sales items interest you, there is a web site at www.puritandotcom and a more than one hundred page mail order catalog that is regularly mailed to previous customers so they can order at their convenience. http://www.puritan.com. The web site does not offer the above deal, but it currently features a lot of two for one or buy one get one free items and says over 1,400 products are on sale, with a ten percent discount on orders over $75 and a 25 percent discount on orders over $100 and only $3.95 for domestic shipping. Products are readily listed by category and there is an easy to use search window at the top of the site.

The mail order catalog pretty much lists the same products on sale with a two page index in the middle and a phone number to call if that is what you prefer.

For Puritan’s Pride customers, it is the prices and convenience and the promise of reliability that attract customers looking to buy well known herbal cures for whatever it is they feel they need.
