What an interesting day yesterday turned out to be at work. I am finishing up a big project at work (been working on it since about February) and just needed one more day or two and I would’ve been done. But my boss tells me first thing in the morning that they might want me to start on the next one instead since they told the tech team I would be ready. Ok, fine, its your dime! What I wasn’t aware of was the cramped space my cubicle was about to become. So I end up with a total of 6 people in my cubicle to learn this new application. There was myself, my boss, the other lady who does the same job as me (but different material), another lady who sometimes fills in for us, the tech guy, and the lady who prints up the stuff that I would be working with. And my cubicle is not that big. First the lady that prints the stuff up left after she explained everything. So we were down to 5 people who had to watch me scan stuff. Nothing like having 4 other people watch you do your job to make you nervous. But the boss joked around with me a little (which is something totally new and kind of frightened me a little). Later on she also complimented me. Oh my, halloween must certainly be in the air because something eerie is definitely going on over there!! (Disclaimer: I really do love the people I work with, but Friday was just comical to me for some reason. Maybe I was more tired than I thought.)
