My gripe of today deals with the garbage that’s been hitting my email inbox in the last couple of weeks.

It’s bad enough my bulk mail gets inundated with sleaze hawkers, but now it’s progressed to my personal mail, which is extremely disconcerting, since I like all new mail shown on my homepage. Therefore, I’ve had to install a password so that my daughter doesn’t stumble across the wide array of adult choices when attempting to find something from my “favorites” list. That’s pretty sad.

With all of the security measures and blockers my new PC is stuffed with, you’d think there would be a way to keep this from happening, but as of this moment I don’t know what to do. Today I may check with someone more astute than I in these matters, but the bottom line is I’m the one being inconvenienced while the cretins who send this junk are going merrily along their way.

This is somewhat understood in the broad realm of people trying to make a buck wherever and however (like telemarketers who truly think you’ll their welcome sales calls) but what I don’t understand is…Why the heck are all the words misspelled?!

Does anyone know? Is it some kind of secret, low class language? Is it a technological maneuver to restrict search engines? Or, are all these senders really so stupid that they can’t spell?

The last things I want to see when I power up my PC at 7AM, blurry eyed and foggy, are a half dozen emails on my home page, in bold, capital letters, promising me various kinds of vicarious enjoyments-and all of them spelled incorrectly.

You’d think that people would find better uses for their creativity, wouldn’t you? I think I’m going to change my email address…
