The Idiot Proof Diet operates on the theory that your body cannot anticipate the caloric intake of tomorrow, only how much it was able to burn yesterday. With that in mind, India Knight, the person who wrote the Idiot Proof Diet Handbook, recommends changing your caloric intake and types of foods eaten each day.
The Diet Plan
In essence, the Idiot Proof diet plan calls for manipulating calories and eating four meals a day. You cycle through carb meals, protein meals and protein + carbohydrate meals. Meals usually contain just one item, though condiments like mustard and ketchup can be added.
A typical protein meal may be boneless, skinless chicken breast prepared any way you like. Besides spices, seasonings and condiments, you eat the chicken breast and nothing more. Side dishes aren’t part of the plan.
The Idiot Proof diet pasta recipe – unlimited pasta and plain tomato sauce – is an entire carbohydrate meal. Alcohol is limited to one glass of wine per day. Exercise is just a small part of the Idiot Proof diet, walking is recommended but not measured.
Getting the Idiot Proof Diet
The Idiot Proof diet isn’t free but it is much cheaper than other options. For $39, you can download the Idiot Proof diet book and the Diet Generator, filled with Idiot Proof diet recipes using your favorite foods. With your membership, you receive access to online tools, including the Idiot Proof diet blog so you can share you success and read about others. India Knight, one half of the team who created the Idiot Proof diet, keeps an ongoing blog as well.
More info on the Idiot Proof diet as well as the downloadable book and generator are at the FatLoss4Idiots website. You can also find Idiot Proof diet info using your favorite search engine.
Does the Idiot Proof Diet Work?
It isn’t likely that eating a meal of yogurt or chicken breast alone will be long lasting. According to a number of reviews of the Idiot Proof diet, once dieters return to their old eating habits the weight comes back. While this plan may take off ten or twenty pounds quickly, the results are temporary.
