About This Editor: I am a writer. Have been writing for other sites, but expect to do most of my future work HERE! My expertise extends from the esoteric such as burning hydrogen to the unpredictability of the stock market and my writing makes me a jack of all trades and exasperated master of none. I have had some influence over national wildfire and water policy and there are hints of a change in energy policy, BUT as Samuel Goldwyn once said, "A verbal promise is not worth the paper it is written on."

Ehow is a big web site that goes by the slogan, “How To Do Just About Everything” which encompasses over twenty thousand articles written since approximately 1999 and is featured on your Google home page.

Twenty thousand articles, while it does not cover absolutely everything, still covers a lot of ground that the home page and site map breaks down into fifteen major categories which include business and finance, car information, career and education, computers, consumer electronics, family and relationships, food and entertaining, health, hobbies and games, holidays and traditions, home and garden, personal care and styles, pet care, sports and fitness, and travel information.

EHow also lists fifteen popular categories, which include garden and lawn care, healthy diets, job search, tax information, tax planning, wedding planning, buying a home, selling a home, building a home, moving and storage, car loans, auto repair, planning for college, home audio, and handheld electronics.

The purpose of all this information, very simply, is to not only sell ads but to whet a reader’s interest enough to click on an ad.  In case you were not aware of this practice, this site also follows the same rule of advertising.  Apparently, many web surfers are looking for practical answers to personal needs and what better way to offer to help than by giving them not only information, but a handy way to apply that information to a solution.

Amplifying this approach are all the ads on the site powered by Google.  The more ads, the more opportunities for clicks and the more revenue.  A simple formula for success in the internet business.

I interpret this power to Google and all associated Googlers.
