    Hi, dear readers!

So sorry that it’s been so long since my last post.  :-( Since I last was able to contribute to ArsC, life has been…interesting.  There’s been ups and downs, and I’m pretty sure I was sliding sideways, even, for awhile!  It appears that the fun times are cycling back down to a normal level, and other than some residual work (I’m still being outsourced and waiting to see where I’ll land next) and family (gotta love ‘em) issues, it appears I’ll again have precious time to devote to my writing!

Plus…hubby’s headed back to night shift as of Wednesday, after 9 months of bugging…er…spending more time with me while on day shift.  It truly isn’t that I don’t appreciate having him around - I love him with all of my heart - but it makes finding time to write consistently more than hard.  Plus, for the first almost two years of our relationship, he was on nights, except for the occasional day shifts to accommodate in-services and training and such.  But now for the last 9 months…we’re together…a lot.  And it’s been wonderful, but I miss my several nights home alone each week to do nothing but write.  No TV, no eating out frivolously…just me and my computer!  And with a nicely arranged office in our lovely new home, I desperately want to do just that - write.

My schedule will be changing slightly at work as well.  Our group has been given the privilege of going to flexible work arrangement for our last few months before outsourcing.  Therefore, I will now be working a modified 9/80 schedule that includes every other Monday off and work-at-home Wednesdays on the opposing week.  Chris’ off-duty will be changing from Friday and Sunday nights to Friday and every other Monday nights.  These changes are nice, because Chris will be working 4P-2A Wednesday through Saturday, so our new schedules will allow days on Saturday together, all day Sunday together, every other Monday together (all day!), every other Monday at least for dinner, dinner on Tuesday, every other Wednesday at home together while I’m working from my upstairs office, and then he’ll have all day every other Wednesday as well as every Thursday and Friday to do his own thing while I have every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night to myself to write, or even to get back to having girls’ nights…the last of which was MONTHS ago.  So, all in all, going to be a good change.

I’m up late this evening because, although exhausted from 6 hours of yard work today (have I mentioned that we have almost 3/4 of an acre, and that the former owner allowed it to become a *bit* overgrown?) and odd sleep schedules all weekend, I’m still WIDE AWAKE.  And our house is making noises…Chris thinks it’s a ghost, but I prefer to think of the noises as something less…supernatural.  Time will tell!  But I’m off to post a new recipe and then try this sleep thing again!

Hope all is well with you all, dear readers!  I hope to post more regularly from now on, as my new schedule allows.  And David, beware!  As soon as Wednesday rolls around and I have my first night home with C’s new schedule, I’ll be back to AA as well - I miss ya’ll terribly, (especially the support you offer when life tips over) as I always do when life necessitates a time away.

    Smiles,

    Tiffany
