Here’s a good one. Somebody figured out private school educated, college trained and Harvard law school graduate Barack Obama is an elitist. Like he’s not poor and has a partisan outlook that doesn’t suffer fools lightly. What can you do. It takes more than a village, it takes all kinds.
It has been emphasized that both Hillary Clinton and John McCain seem to believe Senator Obama is out of touch. Perhaps it is the job he is running for, commander-in-chief, leader of the free world, President of the United States, top dog. When it comes to political airs, he certainly appears to be first class. Look at his treatment of poor, suffering Hillary. Oh, the arrogance of running against Barack Barry Obama.
Why is Senator Obama running for a higher office? Could it be the perks? The intangibles? The touches of glamour? The brazen power of it all. Whatever. No matter what he decides to do, Senator Obama certainly has his work cut out for him.
Start with free transportation to and from the airport in a bullet proof late model chauffeured limo provided at government expense, appointed with executive touches and certain to be bullet proof, at the very least. A private jet called Air Force One, stocked with all the extras including the latest in telecommunications equipment and sufficient leg room to conduct top secret briefings in private and even host motley media types when called upon for a publicly off the record interview. Then there are the traffic clearing motorcades through major cities with police providing complimentary security details to ensure worry free arrivals and departures. Graffiti is always wiped up afterwards.
The work arrangements are also first class with a large staff at his beck and call and millions analyzing his every word. There is a large budget to provide political candy and ample room to pull slick maneuvers.
The eating arrangements aren’t ticky tacky either. A top flight chef prepares haute cuisine in an elegant atmosphere served with such fine touches as antique silverware and even antiquer dinnerware The sauces tend to be titillating and the just deserts sweet. To get a hamburger, selective service agents can be sent on detail and asked to bring back all the ketchup they can muster. Remember it’s Burger King have it your way while Mickey Dee proffers pickle, lettuce, tomato on a sesame see bun, in season.
The living accomodations are not too bad either. Soft cotton duster beds topped by fluffy featherr light pillows to while away a worry free night. The Lincoln bedroom can be rented out to great partisan advantage, as has been well documented in the past.
Of course, reports of Senator Obama’s personal finances compare favorably to those of John McCain, who appears to be rolling in beer suds, and even Hillary Clinton’s whose literary talents have been exceedingly well rewarded.
Finally, in the fine tradition of political shake downs, Senator Obama has made political whoopee overf Hillary’s lack of morals while refraining from casting aspersions on anyone else. Ask yourself if Senator Obama has made an issue of anyone else’s shortcomings. In New York, we have just witnessed the Sheriff of Wall Street resignation without much public input from the good Senator from Illinois.
So how elitist is he? Do the math. A one, a two, all together now. Obama Girl isn’t all she appears to be.
