About This Editor: I am a writer. Have been writing for other sites, but expect to do most of my future work HERE! My expertise extends from the esoteric such as burning hydrogen to the unpredictability of the stock market and my writing makes me a jack of all trades and exasperated master of none. I have had some influence over national wildfire and water policy and there are hints of a change in energy policy, BUT as Samuel Goldwyn once said, "A verbal promise is not worth the paper it is written on."

Despite having to overcome what appears to be an insurmountable lead in delegates by Barack Obama and not having a clue as to what to do next except to keep on going, Hillary Clinton seems determined to take the battle for the Democratic Presidential nomination to the Convention and wherever else she can score political points, proving she has determination, stamina, true grit, testosterone fueled ambition and malice for Barack Obama.  She says he hasn’t beaten her fairly and squarely, pointing out that the fight for the nomination can run through June and on and on.  What else has Hillary got to do?  She certainly isn’t interested in baking cookies.  She keeps reminding voters of that again and again.  To make her point forcefully, she claims people who do not like her are misogynists.  Not that anyone could dislike Hillary.  She is too good at giving away the farm.

That may be so but this writer can certainly see through the fog of political rhetoric directly to the fact that Senator Obama has been unable to terminate Hillary’s quest for the nomination.  He has failed to put her away so to speak, to bury her candidacy, underlining the ability of an implacable opponent to make a soft candidate miserable.  Sort of like a horror movie where the monster keeps returning to perpetrate more damage and mayhem.  No wonder Hillary has imvoked the image of Robert Kennedy.  How else can she milk sympathy for a doomed effort to get out the vote.

With the gap in issues between Clinton and Obama so small as to make them appear like political twins, Barry from south side Chicago and Hillary from suburban slide Illinois, it is no wonder that the Junior Senator from Illinois, the Land of Lincoln, has turned his attention to ducking and weaving with Senator McCain.  What can he do?  He’s tried ignoring her.  He’s given up insulting her.  He can’t get ride of her.  It doesn’t pay to overpromise wishful thinking.

For her part, Hillary Clinton is making it obvious why she portrays Senator Obama as weak.  Beyond his poor bowling and lack of marksmanship skills.  She’s looking for an opportunity to sneak in for the political kill he can’t achieve.  Feasting on a weak opponent.

So now it is on to a discussion of Vice Presidential nominees.  The qualifications might be experience, motivating the electorate, delivering votes, making the party leader look smart, compassionate and strong, no small task if there are glaring faults to overcome.  It pays to get invited for an interview.  It pays to know what is going on.  Vice President is a good job for someone with time on his hands.  After all, two equals one in the world of unusual political bed fellows.

Gerald Ford did it.  Harry Truman did it as did George H. W. Bush.  Al Gore wanted to do it as did Walter Moondale.  So we have the political chance of a lifetime and a chance for politics to be more than pot shots and pot luck.

So the campaign has gone full circle and where it all ends only John McCain and Barack Obama know.  When will they tell?
