About This Editor: I am a writer. Have been writing for other sites, but expect to do most of my future work HERE! My expertise extends from the esoteric such as burning hydrogen to the unpredictability of the stock market and my writing makes me a jack of all trades and exasperated master of none. I have had some influence over national wildfire and water policy and there are hints of a change in energy policy, BUT as Samuel Goldwyn once said, "A verbal promise is not worth the paper it is written on."

Since I want to continue writing, and I especially would like to earn money,  I thought it in my best interest to put up an essay soliciting work.

While I am being published on two sites, this one, ArsCompendium, and also Useless-Knowledge, my goal is quite simple and very legitimate.  To not only continue to be published, but to obtain further paid work for what I consider my considerable talents.

In addition to the essays I have up, I can point to a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree, so I can say I have credentials.  When it comes to new, quality output, of course, these two academic credentials really do not mean much except that I have an expensive education.  Of course, I think my writing speaks for itself.  It is college level.  Intelligent.  On the ball.  Witty and pointed.  Also, sharp as a pen knife.

Now to the more mundane world of nailing down brass tacks.

To be sure, I certainly have the interest.  As should be obvious, I have been putting up quality articles on both sites and want to make it clear I intend to keep doing so.  I have more than two hundred articles on this site, two hundred fourteen, two hundred fifteen to be exact if you include this one, which is important to me, and I have approximately seventy-five on Useless-Knowledge, so it should be easy to judge my talent and see I can write well.

I just need the opportunity.  Any suggestions?

Let me offer the caveat I cannot write about everything.  I am weak in music.  You want writing about music, talk to Ken Sharp.  I hear he is good and making money at it.

I have never watched a complete soccer or tennis match in my life as I recall so I would suggest you talk to some one else if you need something written about either of those subjects.   As a caveat, I have some interest in sports, like baseball, mostly in season, basketball when the ball goes through the hoop and even football, the American version, not foosball or any of those funny sounding but energetic offshoots that do not hit the ball on the head and put it through the uprights.

On the other hand, I do have strengths.  A lot of them.    I know what I am doing.  I can be very insightful.  I can be pointed.  I can hit home runs.  Trust me.  I can move to the groove and write on site and do it well.  Properly even with insight and detail, humor even.

I like movies, am up to date on current events, understand the current state of politics to say the least, can handle many economic topics

So what is the hang up?

Surely, there are sites that need a little steady writing spice and have cash to back up their tastes.

To be certain, I would have to discuss any future projects in full and glorious detail so both sides, you and me kiddo, know what we are getting into and whatever else has to be pinned down, just to be sure, and any decisions would have to final unless they were be subject to revision.  Intelligent editing is probably okay with me.  Inane commentary is not.

As for remuneration, I do not have a set rate.  Since work is so hard to find and competition so fierce and I have not been given much of a chance as far as I know, I can safely say I have been working for a pittance in order to stay in writing shape and enhance my reputation.  Virtually any reputable publisher or web master can afford what I earn here and at Useless-Knowledge, which is almost nothing.  Let me make it clear, poverty is not proud.  Poverty is a hard master and a great motivator.  So, I am both available and willing.  Terms to be negotiated on a mutual basis.

I can say I have written a few ehows and some advertising copy about printed corporate mugs and advertising logos on pencils as well as some product blurbs and articles for other web sites and the like.  So I have done a lot writing and am perfectly willing to do so in the future.  Just contact me and we shall discuss what can be done.  You will find me cooperative and very willing to ace the job.
